No one really knows the exact cause but experts and many people believe that it is additives put in the vape for flavor and to save money not directly from the weed or even nicotine.
Many people are also making their own liquid then distributing it. Be careful buying exotic, supreme, super mario, louie, and other plastic baggie cartridges. The packing for these type of carts are cheap and can be bought by anyone, filled up with anything, then inhaled by you and people you care about.

All cannabis companies should have their growing and production process on public record. Cannabis also has to be federally legal, the united states is the only north american country that still criminalizes cannabis. If it was better regulated it would be easier to determine the exact cause of the deaths and it would be easier to prevent them.
