July 4th is the day The United States celebrates its declaration of independence from the king. But not everyone feels free in the land of the free.
2020 is the year that broke the back of many people carrying the history of the United States, The Americas, and the world.
Since the 1400s people have been getting their backs broken and stepped on. People have been assaulted , raped , tortured , murdered and enslaved. Gold , resources , people , and histories have been stolen.
Borders where formed and land was distributed to the rich.
Some poor people felt underrepresented. They didn’t want to be taxed with out being represented. They declared independence in 1776.
The poor have been getting poorer and the rich have been getting richer . Some poor people beat the odds and became rich and got richer. The American Dream was born and so everyone wanted to become an American citizen.
Not everyone had a choice though. When people came into The New World / The Americas they not only enslaved the indigenous people but they also brought in slaves from other continents. Africa.
At first not even considered a full person. Previously enslaved people had to fight along side women and other so called minorities for all the rights the rich , male , citizens were born with.
The fight has been said to be over countless of times but people are still fighting into 2020. Trying to find the Life, Liberty, and Happiness promised in 1776.
