In addition to passing many progressive acts that help the 99%, Democrats have consistently been fighting to make the country more left and progressive.

Democrats all voted against the OBBB that funded the secret police and cut healthcare and help for the 99% in order to cut taxes to the rich.

Obama started DACA which protected young immigrants from deportation. He was also fighting to start DAPA which would have protected parents of citizens and residents but the act was blocked by a split supreme court. 4 liberal democrat appointed judges to 4 conservative republican appointed judges.

Republican judges voted against DAPA, and DACA was later blocked under Trump. Preventing new applicants.

Trumps run in with the supreme court was because he illegally deported people to CECOT. One of the worst prisons in the world.

Obama also started the “Cuban Thaw” which tried to better the relationship between Cuba and the US.

In 2016 Obama was the first president in almost 100 years to visit Cuba (since Coolidge in 1928).

He met with President Raul Castro and even opened up the US embassy in Cuba again.

He eased travel restrictions, and gave unlimited remittances which allowed cuban people to send and receive money externally.

Trump reversed the changes, but Biden eased restrictions again.

Currently Cuba is being starved under Trump appointed Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Democrats have been more sympathetic to the far left, especially compared to Republicans who are currently starving Cuba.

Democrats have successfully started universal childcare in New Mexico.

Healthcare in blue states is way better compared to the rest of the country.

Many blue states are also working on providing state universal healthcare. With Oregon, Washington, and California cliquing up to try and provide universal healthcare to their states.
