Ive had this theory on the bible for a while. This is it.
The 1st testament is about god and government being corrupt. God is power tripping and abusing his power just like the government. The 2nd testament is about god taking form as a human and experiencing the corrupt system he set up as Jesus. Jesus is a good person but good people are bad for a corrupt system. The Quaran is a continuation. Muhammad is the most common name in the world. Jesus was dark skinned and middle eastern. We are all the continuation and the next part is still being written.
Ive been reading the bible and its making sense. God put the tree of knowledge in the middle of Eden. I think he always expected and knew they were going to eat it and set Adam and Eve up to do it. He is supposedly all powerful and knowing.
God lied to Adam and Eve and told them they were going to die if they ate it. He told them it was wrong to eat it and in a way laid the seeds of the shame they would experience after they ate it. Before Eve ate the apple the serpent told her that they would not die if they ate it. This was true because after Adam and Eve ate it they did not die. God told Adam and Eve that the serpent deceived them even though he told them the truth about the fruit. God was the one that deceived the two by telling them they would die which was a lie.
After Adam and Eve ate the fruit they were punished and banished from Eden.
The tree and the fruits remind me of the war on drugs. Forbidden knowledge reminds me of whistle blowers like Edward Snowden and Gary Webb that are punished for revealing the truth about corruption in government.
The government has lied about the dangers of marijuana and other drugs (specifically psychedelics ). Even saying that if anyone partook they would lose their mind and possibly die too. We now know this is not true.
Drugs were even brought in and distributed with the help of the government. Rick Ross who was one of the first big cocaine dealers got his drugs from an FBI informant. Gary Webb was possibly assassinated by the government for revealing this knowledge.
Many people are now punished to prison and banished from living a normal life because of drug charges.
The serpent did lie though. Prior to eating the fruit they they were granted access to the Tree of Life in the Garden. “Ignorance is bliss” and eating from the Tree of Knowledge introduced death to the world. It was after consuming the fruit that they were banished from the Garden and sentenced to die without access to the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve are no longer here, hence they died and the Serpent lied.
My theory is that the Bible presents both sides of the coin. What we would call “good and evil” but not “evil” in the classical sense, just a challenge to God’s definition of order and “good”. The old testament is God’s way, the new Testament is Jesus’/Lucifers’ (Lucifer literally means Light Bringer, God made the light and saw that it was “good”). Think about it, we’re told that Lucifer, Satan, serpent, whatever was cast down from heaven for challenging God, or thinking they were God, and after being cast out and down was said to rule the earth. Jesus is made equal, or atleast “part of” God in the New Testament. In the Torah Jews were warned not to trust someone who shows up performing miracles, raising the dead, etc. God in the new testament is a stern and strict ruler, he rules without sympathy, only cares for the rules he has set forth and punishes severely those who deviate. He rewards blind faith and tests it frequently. Jesus shows up, says “hey, this seems all wrong. Love one another, forgive one another, take care of the weak, the poor, the sick among you. Put others before your self. You need not prove your faith, just accept me and my death will pay your dues for entry into heaven”. These two seem to be at odds with one another. At the very least differing principles and values.
I think all religions are essentially telling the same stories, just with different characters and cultural references. Even Taoist have the Yin-yang, the duality of white and black with a dot of the opposing color within. They are swirling around as if in a constant battle. In reality neither will ever be the victor, to do so would render the entire palate grey and without meaning. Good and evil are subjective, the world will never be ruled by a singular state of morality.
Take the good from any and all of these stories, know that discipline and leaving room for “slack” in that taught line is important as well though. Balance is key, in all things mind, body and spirit. Above all else we are here to pursue truth, we are the universe observing itself, and it all started with a bite and a taste for knowledge.
