Like he always does Kodak has gotten the internet angry by saying that he is gonna punch his ex Yung Miami in the stomach. Yung Miama is pregnant right now. It is understandable why people are mad if someone actually did punch a pregnant lady in her pregnant stomach the assaulter deserves a long time in prison maybe a lethal injection. Kodak Black has not punched Yung Miami in the stomach though and probably never will. He was freestyling an art form where you just speak from your mind and try to make it rhyme. Art is Art and people could say, write, draw, or paint whatever they want to. What might make his freestyle scarier and make people believe that Kodak Black might actually be serious is that Kodak is a gangster rapper or just a rapper. Rappers are supposed to do what they say and back their words up and live their rhymes. But why. It seems the real only end up dead or in jail and the fake rappers backed up by label money are still free spilling more lies.
We live in a culture where gangs, stealing, and killing are seen as “cool” and “real”. Where crime seems to be encouraged and if someone does something to you , you better go and do something worse to them , especially if your a rapper , or else your weak and a coward. Art is art and real is real but if you go and actually be real the judge will use your art against you as proof or you start a gang war.
Thankfully Kodak Black hasn’t and he hopefully never will punch Yung Miama anywhere ever. But that cant be said to the millions of people in jail because they were trying to be “real”.
Many people are saying “what if” , “what if he gets out of jail and actually does it” . If that happens then he will go to jail and deserve it. But now isn’t time for “what if” when a lot of bad things are happening in our culture and community without a “if” about them. Trump is actually president. Kids are really being detained in the U$ and separated from their family. There is really war in the middle east and the entire world. We are all being punched in the stomach and no one cares at least no one in the supreme court, office, senate or congress that could try to do something to help . It is the future that suffers in the end. The president is more worried about a rapper than the people he was elected to represent. Kodak Black has a spotlight on him and everybody seems to care about him and his love life. It seems like he wants to be in jail and maybe he does. It might be safer than the world outside where it seems everyone is after him and us. Kodak Black is just doing his job sparking controversy and keeping his name in the headlines so more people will check him out, listen to his music, and buy his merch. Hopefully that money goes towards his friends, family, and community so we could all make lemonade out of the lemons we have been given. when you rap about murder, people want you to prove it. when you rap about domestic abuse just saying it is assault.
I’m not saying domestic abuse isn’t real and it doesn’t happen I’m just saying this isn’t a case of domestic abuse. Domestic Abuse is real and it does happen and the people responsible should be in jail. No one deserves to be abused. Black, white, brown, rich, poor, female, male or whatever you identify as, you are loved and deserve to be treated well and feel safe.
